Academic Cooperation Association (ACA) announces new President

Sijbolt Noorda, President, Association of Universities in the Netherlands (VSNU), and former EUA Board member, has been elected as the new President of the Academic Cooperation Association (ACA).

A former President of the University of Amsterdam, he takes over from Rolf Tarrach (2008-2011), Rector of the University of Luxembourg. ACA has announced that Dr Noorda will be assisted in his work by a new Vice President and a new Treasurer. Taking up these roles are, respectively, Ulrich Grothus, Deputy Secretary-General of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), and Hubert Dürrstein, CEO of OeAD (the Austrian agency for international mobility and cooperation in education, science and research).
