Pierre Espinasse is a senior advisor working on EUA’s EUIMA – Full Costing project which aims to foster the development of full costing and financial management within European universities.
Previously Head of Research Services (Science Area) and Associate Director of Knowledge Exchange at the University of Oxford, Pierre now manages a UK charitable foundation which funds research into rheumatological diseases.
A graduate in Languages and Economics, Pierre has 23 years experience working in research management and funding, first with the UK research councils, followed by 18 years at the University of Oxford, and more recently as a funder. He was closely involved in the development of full economic costing in the UK and is an active contributor to the development of research and knowledge exchange policy in the UK and Europe. Pierre is also a Director of a family-run small business and was previously Director of Oxford Ltd, the merchandising arm of the University of Oxford.
