Application Process Print Email this page

EUA has different categories of membership depending on whether applicants are universities, national associations of rectors or other bodies active in higher education or research. The category of membership determines annual fees and voting rights.

All applications for membership are first reviewed by the EUA Board and then passed on to the EUA Council (three sessions a year), that takes the final decision. Membership is granted for the whole institution or organisation.
In order to send the application form, EUA needs to know whether the institution is a member of the collective full member in their country (National Rectors’ Conference) and whether the institution would like to apply for individual full or associate membership. After receiving this information EUA will send the application form and more information about the application procedure.

Applicant universities need a letter of recommendation from the President of the collective full member in their country (National Rectors' Conference), or, if there is no national Rectors’ Conference, from three EUA full members from three different countries, to be sent together with the application.

The next deadline for applications is: 24 February 2012.
For detailed information on the application procedures, including application forms, please contact Sue Pavis.
