Enhancing Quality through Innovative Policy & Practice

The Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG) are the basis for quality assurance in the European Higher Education Area (EHEA). At their meeting in Yerevan in 2015, Bologna ministers endorsed a revised version of the ESG, which includes a number of updated and amended elements to which stakeholders will need to adapt in the near future.

The EQUIP project aimed at enhancing quality in European higher education by supporting and promoting a consistent, efficient and innovative embedding of the ESG at grass-root level. The project identified the challenges and barriers to implementation and work collaboratively with all stakeholders and policy-makers to propose, share and discuss the applicability of new solutions. The project consortium consisted of many of the stakeholders who authored the new version of the ESG and are therefore well placed to implement this project due to their intense involvement in the revision.
