Universities are invited to participate in the EUA survey on research data management and the FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable) principles. This consultation, conducted in the context of the FAIRsFAIR project – in which EUA is a leading partner – aims to gather a comprehensive overview of policies, practices and training activities relating to research data and the FAIR principles at European universities.
Research data management and the FAIR data principles are becoming more important in the context of the transition to Open Science. Moreover, the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) is a high-level European initiative that will rely on FAIR data. Through this survey EUA is seeking to gain better knowledge to address these topics at European level and to develop priority areas for the FAIRsFAIR project.
The survey will address the following dimensions of research data management and the FAIR principles at higher education institutions:
The survey deadline has been extended until 15 November 2019.
The survey should be filled out by university leadership or management staff responsible for the development and implementation of research data management policies and plans. Universities that do not yet have such a plan are also encouraged to participate in the sections relevant to them.
Please note that only one response per institution should be submitted. Should you encounter any technical difficulties, or should you require further information, please contact our colleagues at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
