During more than twenty of existence, the Bologna Process has profiled as the main European collaboration platform for higher education. It is an intergovernmental process with 48 countries committed to agreeing on and implementing shared policy priorities. But how are the discussions and outcomes from this process reflected in the daily reality of European higher education institutions? How do institutions perceive the purpose of the Bologna Process? What are or should be the clear gains and concrete impact at European higher education institutions and on higher education systems?

EUA is pleased to present a webinar series on the different areas of work in the Bologna Process. With the next Bologna Ministerial Meeting taking place in Rome on 18-20 November 2020, it is timely to shed light on several topics closely related to universities’ current policies and practices, but for which the added value brought by the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) may not always be clear. The series is composed of seven webinars and will run from 29 September until 1 December.

This first webinar of the series "Towards the Bologna Process Ministerial Meeting" has featured cross-cutting perspectives from different institutions and country representatives. Speakers have also discussed the connection between policy and practice for the future of the Bologna Process.

This first webinar was co-organised by EUA, UUK International and the Flemish Interuniversity Council (VLIR).

Participation upon registration was free of charge and open to all EUA members, as well as other stakeholders with an interest in the Bologna Process, or higher education policy in general.
