Thursday 29 April 14.00-15.00 CEST

The recognition procedures in place at higher education institutions should be fair, transparent and effective. This webinar looked into the role of internal quality assurance in ensuring the smooth recognition of academic qualifications from abroad by drawing on the experience of two countries: Germany and Spain. Through a mix of presentations and interactive audience engagement , this webinar invited the presenters and participants to engage in a conversation about how to make the quality assurance of recognition effective, in a way that keeps the administrative burden on institutional staff at a minimum .

The event is organised in the context of the “Spotlight on recognition” project.

Speakers:

  • Barbara Michalk, Head of the Section “Higher Education in Germany and Europe”, HRK, Germany
  • Adolfo Quirós, Professor, Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Spain

Chaired by Tia Loukkola, Director, Institutional Development, EUA.

The recording of the webinar is available on the EUA YouTube channel.
