A new standard for internal quality assurance systems included in the Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG) 2015 requires higher education institutions to assure that their education provision is student-centred and has since been a topic for discussion. A recent EUA-led study (EQUIP) showed that institutions and quality assurance agencies alike are still seeking ways to address this.

Through its work on quality assurance on the one hand, and learning and teaching on the other, EUA has collected evidence on the status of student-centred learning in universities across Europe and on quality assurance processes in place.

At the focus group, participants will receive a preview of selected findings of this work and will be able to contribute to formulating an EUA paper, which aims to demonstrate the status of developments and thus guide further debate on the topic. The participants will also have an opportunity to exchange experiences and learn about practices in other participating universities as the programme will build on small interactive groups intended to create an open exchange. To facilitate this, participants will receive key questions in advance and should be prepared to contribute actively to the discussions.

Participation in this focus group is exclusive to participants selected through a call for participation.

Maximum capacity has been reached and the call has been closed.
