Under the title “Learning, Systems and the New Normal”, the event will focus on the world of higher education since the beginning of 2020 and how technology and innovation in teaching have become an essential part of everyday university life. Participants will take a look back at the digital semesters of 2020 and look ahead to the future of higher education.
The event is free of charge and is open to teachers, students, university management and other stakeholders from universities, politics and society. It will host more than 30 sessions, 20 workshops and 100 speakers, including Mariya Gabriel, European Commissioner for innovation, research, culture, education and youth; Anja Karliczek, German Federal Minister of Education and Research; and Peter-André Alt, President of the German Rectors' Conference (HRK).
The University:Future Festival 2020 is organised by the Hochschulforum Digitalisierung with support from the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research. HRK, an EUA member, is a consortium partner.
EUA will participate with a virtual booth at the Festival that will highlight the Association’s broad purpose and focus specifically on its flagship activities related to the enhancement of learning and teaching.
