ESU Conference of the student bodies of the European alliances of HEIs and resolution on student representation within the European Universities

The European Students’ Union (ESU) Board Meeting held in Tbilisi approved the creation of a consultative body to ESU that will gather the student representatives from the student councils of the European university alliances.

The body will be a Conference where the student representatives from the alliances will be able to share their experiences, struggles and best practices to always defend students’ rights better. They will also be consulted when ESU develops new policy texts on the European Universities. Furthermore, ESU has approved a resolution that outlines the direction for the strengthening of student representation within the framework of the European Universities: it covers topics such as the rights of student representatives, the role of National Unions of Students and student representation at the programme level for the transnational degrees.
