Scholars At Risk's survey of potential host campuses for scholars/practitioners from Afghanistan

30 August 2021

Scholars at Risk (SAR) is conducting a survey to assess the potential of SAR network-member campuses to offer temporary hosting opportunities, and for what types of candidates and under what circumstances.

Scholars at Risk has begun to receive a high volume of applications from scholars/practitioners in Afghanistan due to the rapidly deteriorating conditions in the country. Many of the those who apply do not have PhDs, but are at the graduate degree level and have been teaching at universities in Afghanistan. Most are individuals who have publicly supported, through their teaching, research, or public activities, a pluralist, rights-respecting, democratic future for Afghanistan, and as a result face grave and immediate retaliatory violence. SAR is, therefore, conducting this survey to assess the potential of SAR network-member campuses to offer temporary hosting opportunities, and for what types of candidates and under what circumstances (credentials, department/disciplines, language skills, family size, scheduling, etc).

PLEASE NOTE: Completing this survey is NOT a formal commitment to host anyone, but merely an indication of your interest in hosting and willingness to consider suitable candidates in the future.

Complete the survey on Qualtrics.
