European Research Council publishes Work Programme for 2023

Last week, the European Research Council (ERC) published its Work Programme for 2023 with a total budget of around €2.2 billion for grants. Established by the ERC Scientific Council, the Work Programme for the coming year has been officially adopted by the European Commission on 11 July 2022.

The ERC 2023 Work Programme will support researchers across Europe through four core grant schemes: Starting Grants, Consolidator Grants, Advanced Grants and Synergy Grants. While calls for the Starting and Synergies Grants have already opened (with deadlines fixed, respectively, on 25 October and 11 November 2022), the calls for the Consolidator and Advanced Grants will follow later this year.
