The 30th EUA General Assembly (GA), taking place on Thursday 16 April, 09.30-11.00 is open to representatives of EUA member institutions and organisations. EUA Affiliates may attend the General Assembly as observers. The GA will be hosted by Yeditepe University, Istanbul, Türkiye, in addition to the 2026 EUA Annual Conference (16-17 April) and Leadership Roundtable (16 April). is open until 30 March.
The agenda will feature regular statutory business and an overview of EUA’s main activities in 2025 as well as priority actions for 2026. All meeting documents will be circulated to the executive heads and designated contact persons of EUA member institutions and organisations at the latest two weeks before the meeting.

Full members of EUA (i.e. Individual Full Members and Collective Full Members) with no outstanding memberships fees, up to and including 2026, are eligible to vote on statutory items presented during the GA. The deadline for receipt of fee payments is Monday 30 March. Institutions that have paid membership fees in full and that have registered for the General Assembly will receive an email from the online voting platform on or before 13 April granting access to vote at the GA. Voting is open to executive heads (university presidents, rectors and vice-chancellors and presidents of national rectors' conferences) of full members.
Internal proxy nomination
Executive heads of Individual Full Members who are unable to attend the GA may nominate a representative from within their leadership team to vote on their behalf.
Executive heads of EUA Collective Full Members (national rectors’ conferences) may nominate a Vice-President or Board member from within their organisation to attend and vote on their behalf.
External proxy nomination
Alternatively, executive heads may nominate the head of another EUA full member – or their internally nominated representative – to vote on their behalf. Please note that any member of the General Assembly may hold only one proxy from another EUA full member. Both the member transferring a vote and the nominated proxy institution/organisation must have paid all outstanding membership fees.
