In a recent briefing, the European University Association identified the rise of artificial intelligence as one of the notable interconnected factors shaping the evolution of the scholarly communication system.
To further explore this, EUA will hold a webinar on ‘Navigating the future of scholarly communication, Open Science and AI’ on 16 December at 14.00-15.00 CET.
AI’s promises of increased efficiency, innovation and new forms of knowledge production also introduce challenges and risks, particularly concerning integrity, reproducibility, misinformation and biases.
As such, this event will explore the interplay between Open Science and AI. Speakers will discuss opportunities and challenges and the role of universities in responsibly and ethically integrating AI into their policies and practices.
Speakers
Moderator: Pastora Martínez Samper, member of the EUA Expert Group on Open Science.
This webinar will be of interest to institutional leaders (rectors, vice-rectors and heads of administration), research department staff, university library staff, as well as researchers in general.
Registrations remain open until the start of the webinar. Participation is free of charge.
