The Diamond OA Policy Forum Europe is an online place where policymakers, funders and other open access experts meet to share, discuss and develop policy and funding mechanisms for Diamond Open Access to support more equitable, diverse, and community-led scholarly publishing internationally.
This stems from the ALMASI Project, which brings national, regional and institutional policymakers together from 3 regions: Africa, Latin America and Europe. The first meeting of the Diamond Open Access Policy Forum Europe will include presentations of key findings from recent reports on non-profit publishing ecosystems and the Diamond OA publishing landscape. It will then provide expert perspectives on national and institutional policy developments, followed by interactive breakout discussions focused on advancing Diamond OA national and institutional policies in practice.
