The aim of this event is to explore and strengthen links between universities in the EU and Ukraine, in a context of increased solidarity.
The discussions will focus on opportunities for collaboration, the challenges encountered and strategies to promote more effective university cooperation, particularly in the current context. The conclusions will focus on potential actions to give concrete expression to these partnerships and strengthen solidarity between EU regions and Ukraine.
Background
The European Week of Cities and Regions brings together a large number of representatives of local authorities and other regional and local organisations every year in Brussels. This year, the European Week will take place from 7 to 10 October 2024. Grand Est-Europe, the Brussels-based representation of larger public organisations of the French Region Grand Est, will be organising an event dedicated to university cooperation for solidarity with Ukraine. The event will take place on Tuesday 8 October 2024, from 16:30 to 18:00, at the European Committee of the Regions (room JDE63, in the Jacques Delors building, rue Belliard 99, Brussels).
