UNICA, the Network of Universities from the Capitals of Europe, organises 3rd edition of the UNICA Days in Brussels on EU–Canada Cooperation.
The third edition of the UNICA Days, the Network of Universities from the Capitals of Europe annual flagship event, will take place in Brussels from 25 to 27 February 2026, under the overarching theme “EU–Canada Cooperation: Shared Values, Shared Futures.”
The event is organised by UNICA in collaboration with the Delegation for Relations with Canada of the European Parliament, the International Association of Universities (IAU), and Science | Business.
Building on the success of the 2024 and 2025 editions, UNICA Days 2026 will explore the EU–Canada relationship through the lens of higher education, research, and scientific diplomacy, offering a platform for dialogue between Canadian and European higher education institutions, university networks, policymakers, and other key stakeholders. The event aims to strengthen transatlantic cooperation and contribute to addressing shared global challenges.

The event is aimed at policymakers, university leaders, researchers, and civil society representatives, and seeks to foster new, sustainable partnerships while reinforcing existing collaborations.
The President of EUA, Josep M. Garrell, will be one of the speakers at this event, contributing to the first session on “Scientific Diplomacy and Societal Leadership: The Role of Universities in EU–Canada Cooperation”, in the morning of 26 February.
