The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) announces a call for submissions for the “Fundamental Academic Values Award”.

The award honours three early career researchers for their academic contributions to the preservation and promotion of fundamental academic values within the European Higher Education Area (EHEA).

The call for applications is open to early career researchers from all academic disciplines and of all nationalities. The selection process focuses in particular on applicants’ academic achievements and the relevance of their work to fundamental academic values in the European higher education landscape.

The Fundamental Academic Values Award is endowed with total prize money of EUR 18,000 and is funded by the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR) within the framework of the DAAD project “Bologna Hub”. 

The call for applications has recently been published, and applications may now be submitted until 22 June 2026.
