The European University Association is now inviting applications for a 2026 Thematic Peer Group on institutional data.

Building on EUA’s work on digitalisation and artificial intelligence, the Association has launched a call for participation in a Thematic Peer Group on institutional data. Group members will explore established and emerging practices that maximise data for the purpose of enhancing institutional performance, drawing on their experience in academic or administrative leadership.  With a specific focus on initiatives using student and operational data, the group will work towards:

  • creating a community of practice to examine the value of data-steered initiates and compare practices in gathering, managing, analysing and governing institutional data.
  • developing activities and/or resources that contribute to a more sustained discussion the use of data for institutional development.

Applications are open to EUA members, represented by  senior leaders, managers or coordinators who can demonstrate contribution to their university’s strategic development through the responsible and innovative use of institutional data. Candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas are encouraged to apply: data governance; digital transformation; institutional research; strategy and organisational change.

The deadline to apply is 9 January 2026. Selected candidates will be active in group activities from February to December 2026.
