ERIGrid 2.0 Project 10th lab call now open

13 November 2023

EU-funded project ERIGrid 2.0 invites all interested researchers involved in the domains of power system testing, smart grids and energy systems to receive free funding to access laboratories in Europe and perform their own experimental research. The 10th lab call is now open until 31 December 2023.

ERIGrid 2.0 stands for European Research Infrastructure supporting Smart Grid and Smart Energy Systems Research, Technology Development, Validation and Roll Out – Second Edition. Based on the results from the ERIGrid-1 project, the successor project ERIGrid 2.0 will expand the research services and tools of European research infrastructures for validating smart energy networks with the electric power grid as the main backbone. Committed to the holistic and cyber-physical systems-based validation approach, ERIGrid 2.0 will foster system-level support and education for industrial and academic researchers in power and energy systems research and technology development.

“ERIGrid 2.0 partners offer a wide range of installations and competences to assist successful applicants with conducting experiments. Such a common framework of applied smart grid expertise will accelerate the development of an integrated pan-European research infrastructure.” – Dr. Thomas Strasser, Coordinator of ERIGrid 2.0

All information on how to apply as well as the description of the 21 physical and 10 virtual laboratories can be found on the project’s website.
