The Coalition for Advancing Research Assessment (CoARA) is opening a call for Working Groups and for National Chapters.
Working Groups are central to CoARA’s mission to enable systemic reform of research assessment. Based on a bottom-up approach with members’ voluntary involvement, Working Groups operate as ’communities of practice’, providing mutual learning and collaboration on specific thematic areas. Participating members will exchange knowledge, learn from each other’s experience, discuss and develop outputs to advance research assessment and support the implementation of members’ commitments.
National Chapters will contribute to CoARA work, by facilitating the exchange of knowledge, mutual learning and discussions on CoARA-relevant issues specific to different types of organisations of a given country or group of countries. National Chapters should be dedicated to help CoARA members in the implementation of the commitments of the Agreement on Reforming Research Assessment in a national/regional context.
This call for constituting Working Groups and National Chapters is open to its members only and structured around: a call for Expressions of Interest, followed by the preparation of full proposals. Expressions of Interest and/or a full proposal are to be submitted by a single designated point of contact for each CoARA member, on behalf of their organisation.
The call procedure document is structured in two parts: one for Working Groups, one for National Chapters.
This call follows a threefold approach:
A second cut-off date for the submission of Working Groups proposals will be launched in Autumn 2023 (date TBC). Proposals submitted for National Chapters will be collected and processed on a monthly basis.
