The EuroScience Open Forum (ESOF) 2022 will take place in Leiden (The Netherlands), between 13-16 of July.

ESOF aims to provide a venue for debate among all stakeholders about science itself, the way science is performed and the impact of science in, with and for society. Organised once every two years, ESOF’s purpose is promote dialogue on science, technology, innovation, policy and society, to present scientific and technological developments in all scientific areas, and to offer valuable opportunities for early-career researchers.

ESOF2022 is currently open to session proposals for its conference programme entitled “Crossing Borders, Engaged Science, Resilient Societies”. The proposals can approach several scientific themes, such as sustainable development, healthy societies or freedom and societal responsibility of science, or they can be thought out around the main question of the conference: How will science be conducted in the future and how can science improve its role of being a transformative agent for societal change?. Besides the interactive main-programme sessions, it is possible to submit proposals for presenting a poster at ESOF2022.

The deadline for submission proposals is 30 November 2021, 16:00 CET. Applicants are encouraged to make their sessions as interactive as possible and to develop their own creative formats, keeping in mind that a standard session lasts 1 hour and 15 minutes.
